1976
Where the Journey Began
Babaji Shivram was founded with a simple but enduring ambition—to provide dependable, professional logistics solutions built around the needs of the customer. What started as a focused logistics operation would become the foundation of a business spanning industries, services and international markets.
1987
Setting a Benchmark in Steel Logistics
A defining chapter began with the clearance of India's first steel plant imported after IPCL, marking Babaji Shivram's growing expertise in handling complex industrial cargo. The project established an early benchmark for our customs clearance capabilities and strengthened our presence within India's steel sector.
1998
Leading the Oil & Gas Market
As India's oil & gas sector evolved following privatisation, Babaji Shivram expanded its capabilities to support the industry's increasingly specialised logistics requirements. By 1998, we were handling 80% share of logistics activity in the sector—building expertise that would become an important part of our project logistics legacy.
2010
Initiation of International Expansion
After decades of building capabilities across India, Babaji Shivram entered its next phase of growth—expanding in USA, Middle East and Canada while continuing to strengthen its domestic footprint. This marked the beginning of our evolution from a strong Indian logistics company into an increasingly global organization.
2018
Our First Vessel. A Major Leap Forward.
2018 marked a transformative step in Babaji Shivram’s journey with the acquisition and operation of our first vessel. Moving beyond traditional logistics services into vessel ownership and operations expanded our capabilities and reflected our ambition to take greater control of the logistics value chain.
2021
Delivering When the World Stood Still
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our teams executed the end-to-end movement of 18 × 20-foot cryogenic ISO tanks from Singapore to Panagarh and Kolkata. The operation involved clearance and coordination across five IAF C-17 flights, demonstrating the responsiveness and execution capability required when time and reliability mattered most.
2025
Strengthening Our Presence in China
With an exceptional start by doing 20,000 shipments in year 1 itself, Babaji Shivram reached another important milestone with the opening of our international office in China, bringing us closer to one of the world's most important manufacturing and export markets. The expansion strengthened our ability to coordinate cargo at origin and connect Asian supply chains with customers and markets worldwide.

A New Chapter in Europe
As Babaji Shivram celebrates five decades in logistics, our journey continues with an expanding presence in Europe. Building on 50 years of customs, freight and project logistics expertise, our European operations bring us closer to customers, partners and some of the world's most important trade corridors.
